FLOOD WARNINGS – Latest information

River Great Ouse at St Neots, Little Paxton and The Offords
Flooding is expected – immediate action required

River levels have risen at the Bedford river gauge and continue to rise at the Tempsford river gauge following the heavy rainfall on Wednesday 24th December. Consequently, flooding (of property) is imminent. We expect flooding to affect Chester Road, School Lane, Barford Road, Cromwell Road, St Neots Road, Cross Hall Road, Mill Hill Road, Huntingdon Street and Cambridge Street in St Neots, Skipper Way in Little Paxton, High Street in Offord D’Arcy and Station Lane in Offord Cluny. Further rainfall is forecast on Sunday 27/12/20 and Monday 28/12/20 so we expect river levels to remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. Please follow advice from emergency services. Call 999 if in immediate danger. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
